K&N Engineering, Inc. has made a 63 Series AirCharger Intake Kit (63-3059) for the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Chevrolet Impala 5.3L V8, 2006 and 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo 5.3L, and the 2006 to 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix 5.3L. Designed for maximum air flow the unique heat shield keeps the engine heat away from the open element air filter and provides a cooler air charge.

K&N tests have shown a horsepower gain of 13.48 @ 5222 RPM with the K&N (63-3059) Intake Kit. K&N Engineers were able to get such good horsepower because the original factory airbox is restrictive. The K&N Intake Tube design along with the K&N Filter with radius adaptor, are why K&N was able to gain so much power.

K&N 63 Series Kits use a round tapered universal Air Filter (RF- 1048) that can fit into the engine compartment using factory holes and mounting points. It takes less than an hour to install this kit and the lifetime K&N Air Filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service is required depending on driving conditions.
