Bob Harris Wins Super Gas at NHRA POWERade Series in Las Vegas

Bob Harris of K&N Engineering won Super Gas at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Sixth annual ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals.

Harris' double breakout race was his fourth National event win. “I went 8 rounds with no red lights,” said Harris. “Everyone I raced was a heavy hitter, Billy Maddox, Anthony Castillo and Wayne Linder. Tim Landis even had a shot at the World Championship.”

Harris' time in round 8 was (0.016) 10.043 -0.027, to defeat Richard Okerman (0.019) 10.042 -0.028. “Sometimes everything works just right,” said Harris. “I was on.”

Harris drove a 2000 convertible Chevy Corvette built by Gary Hansen Race Cars. John Reedy of K&N Engineering built the motor. The vet is 565 cubic inches and makes 1000 + horsepower.
