K&N Engineering has designed a Lifetime Replacement Air Filter (E-0781)
to fit in the factory air box of the 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2005 Diesel GMC Sierra and
Diesel Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD.

The washable, reusable, unique round filter (E-0781)
is designed to increase horsepower and acceleration, while providing excellent
filtration. "E-0781
is very different from the OE filter," said K&N Air Filter Project Manager Joost
Adriaans. "Our engineers at K&N added a metal cage on the outside of E-0781 for
extra strength and durability. The OE filter does not have the metal cage. A
diesel engine is strong and pulls a lot of air, so we made another very strong
filter."
Adding performance is simple; just remove the disposable air filter in the Sierra or Silverado and drop in the K&N Replacement Air Filter. "E-0781 is designed to fit in the factory airbox," said Adriaans. "It is application specific."
Unlike disposable filters, K&N Air Filters use a unique pleated design comprised of an oiled cotton fabric sandwiched between two layers of epoxy-coated aluminum screen. This K&N Diesel Filter is 6-ply for outstanding dirt filtering efficiency. K&N's filter design provides excellent filtration in addition to high air flow when its needed.
