Students of Ice Action & Training learn performance driving techniques for ice and snow surfaces including sliding, circular paths, load change and try those skills in a Rally stage race
Winters in the north of Finland last around 200 days with permanent snow cover from about mid-October to early May making this an ideal location for the Ice Action & Training school
In the far northern region of Finland three champion Rally racers have combined their 30+ years of competitive driving experience to form a unique driving school named Ice Action & Training. Over the course of 3 to 4 days, students will get behind the wheel of specially equipped Subaru WRX STi as well as Subaru BRZ cars and take them to the limits. The Ice Action & Training school is set on 450 hectares (just under 2 square miles) in the far northern region of Finland near Ivalo, Invari. Winters in the north of Finland last around 200 days with permanent snow cover from about mid-October to early May making this an ideal location for the Ice Action & Training school. Students of the school will learn performance driving techniques for ice and snow surfaces, sliding surfaces, circular paths, and several load change sections. Additionally the school incorporates a rally handling track with high snow banks where it holds a special rally stage race up to 6 km long.
Ice Action & Training employs three driving instructors, Sandro Wall Wine, Armin Black, and Mark Wall Wine, who have over three decades of combined Rally World Cup experience. Between the three instructors there is almost no driving situation which they have not encountered and they impart this experience gained behind the wheel of Rally cars upon the students of Ice Action & Training. The driving school relies upon the Rally proven all-wheel-drive performance of its fleet of eight Subaru WRX STi models. Five Subaru BRZ models are included in the school’s fleet to help teach controlled drifting techniques with a rear-wheel-drive car. Ice Action & Training is supported by K&N air filters and each of the production fleet vehicles are equipped with a K&N performance air intake system. K&N air intake systems offer the superior airflow and superior performance needed to turn the spiked Michelin ice tires.
