K&N Filters No. 0 Sprint Car in Top of Standings

Defending King of California Series Champion Jonathan Allard is leading the
track point standings after a top five finish at Silver Dollar Speedway in
Chico, California.

Allard began the night second in points and qualified the K&N Filters No.
0 as fourth fastest overall car. This gave the sprint car racer two additional
bonus points for the overall track points lead.

During the first heat race Allard fell to fourth on the start. At lap four he was able to take over third place and continued the charge to finish the heat in 2nd place.
In the 25 lap feature, Allard hit a slick spot on turn three and almost spun out but managed to stay in the race. Officials cut the race to 20 laps because of a mandated noise curfew. During the last part Allard lost a spot on lap 16 and ended up in 5th place.
“Racing may have its ups and downs but the one thing that stays on top is the performance of our K&N Filters,” said Allard. “It was a tough night, but our team was able to work through the adversity.”
Allard and Williams Motorsports will be running at the Silver Dollar Speedway this Friday and at Tulare Speedway on Saturday.
