Two Podium Finishes for Defending Golden State Sprint Car Champ
- May 2, 2007
Jonathan Allard had back to back podium finishes at two different race tracks in
a brand new sprint car. The team did not have time to decal or paint the car
before the race, but it didn’t matter in the end.
At Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California the No.0 K&N Filters car worked to perfection as Allard drove to an impressive first place victory. It was win number three of the season for Williams Motorsports.

The Williams Motorsports K&N No.0 was as fast as it’s been all year and the win came for Allard at the right time. The defending King of California is in a big fight for the Golden State Challenge Series Championship title.
Fresh off the Chico win Allard went to the Pombo/Sergeant Classic at Tulare and kept the momentum going. Allard began the night by qualifying sixth on the K&N Filters No.0.
By the main event the track was difficult because turns three and four had become one lane. Around lap nine Allard cut across the groove to slide under Jason Statler on the back stretch. The racers were side by side as they competed on a very icy track. Allard was able to inch ahead and make it to a third place podium finish.
The K&N Engineering sponsored racer leads the Silver Dollar point standings by six. He is headed to Ocean Speedway at Watsonville for Round 10 of the Golden State Challenge Series.
