The Chevrolet Monte Carlo has taken many checkered flags at NASCAR events, and
the 2005 model continues its successful formula with winning in mind.
Air Intake Kit for Chevy Monte Carlo, Impala and Pontiac Grand Prix
K&N Engineering's Generation II 57-Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit (57-3045)
adds 13.37 horsepower at 5224 RPM. The kit speeds up airflow by straightening
the path to the engine, cooling the air and adding performance.
The applications for
57-3045
are the 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 3.8L V6, the
2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000 Chevrolet Impala 3.8L V6, and the 2003, 2002,
2001, 2000, 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8L V6.
The large K&N Air Filter (RF-1040)
and aerodynamic tube removes much of the restriction caused by the factory
intake and allows a large amount of air into the engine for more power. The FIPK
Air Intake comes with the famous K&N Million Mile Warranty.
"The factory computer bolts to the air box, but K&N incorporated the FIPK
without any rewiring," said Bert Heck, K&N Performance Kit Manager. "It is still
a simple installation even with the computer."
It takes about 90 minutes or less to install this FIPK air intake and the lifetime washable
and reusable Air Filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service is
required (depending on driving conditions).

With 400 horses under the hood the 2005 Chevrolet Corvette 6.0L V8 is a
sixth-generation like no other, especially when it comes to styling and
performance.
Air Intake for 2005 Chevy Corvette
K&N Engineering can take this sports car to another level with a 57-Series
Generation II Fuel Injection Performance Kit (57-3052). The K&N tube has a cobra
style look to speed up airflow by straightening the path to the engine. Its position helps to bring in cooler air adding to engine performance.
"The area between the hood and the radiator is real tight," said Bert Heck, K&N
Engineering's Performance Kit Manager. "We made an FIPK (57-3052) for the
Corvette with good power and also put in a bigger air filter. This K&N Air
Filter (RP-5135) is well over a foot, but it accepted the air flow and is what the vehicle
wanted."
The 2005 Chevrolet Corvette 6.0L V8 showed a 10.0 horsepower increase at 6000
RPM on K&N's dynamometer.
It takes 90 minutes or less to install this FIPK (57-3052) and the lifetime K&N
washable and reusable Air Filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service
is required (depending on driving conditions.) The FIPK Air Intake comes with
the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
The 2003, 2004 Chevrolet SSR 5.3L V8 can go from 0-60 mph in 7.6 seconds and can
tow 2,500 pounds. Design, however, is paramount with the SSR. The outside
rear-view mirrors look as if they belong on a race car. The huge fenders and
aerodynamic hood are additional distinguishing features.
Air Intake for 2003 and 2004 Chevy SSR
K&N Engineering has expanded its line of 57-Series Generation II Fuel Injection
Performance Kits by adding the
57-3046
for the 2003, 2004 Chevrolet SSR 5.3L V8.
"The biggest challenge we had in our research and development process was
getting the FIPK to fit under the hood," said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert
Heck. "We kept a test SSR for more than a month but we accomplished it."
K&N's designers stayed with the theme of GM's hot rod look. "Once we figured out
what we needed K&N Engineer's made a carbon filter and powder coated the heat
shield to match the engine cover," said Heck. "The plate says SSR. It looks very
cool."
K&N tested the 2004 Chevrolet SSR 5.3 liter V8 on the in-house dynamometer and
results showed a 5.39 horsepower gain at 5217 RPM. "We went into this knowing GM
was going to have the SSR motor tweaked," said Heck. "But we managed to get
additional horsepower."
The 57-Series Intake Kit consists of a high-flow K&N Air Filter (RP-5115)
that can go up to 100,000 miles between cleanings depending on driving
conditions.
Covered by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty, the 57-Series Intake
Kit is easy to install using simple hand tools in 90 minutes or less. Find K&N products for your vehicle using the K&N application search then use the
K&N
dealer search to find a K&N dealer in your part of the world.
In 1977 BMW introduced its 3-Series cars to the North American. Consumers
desired small cars because of the fuel-crisis then and now. The 3-Series is
still popular and has one of the most recognizable designs in the automotive
world.
K&N's 57-1001 Fuel Injection Performance Kit
Power for the 3.0-litre six-cylinder feels like it is delivered to the rear
wheels, but a variable torque distribution all-wheel drive system sends 62% of
the power to the rear wheels and the remaining 38% to the front.
The power on the V-6 does not have to stop there. K&N Engineering's Generation
II 57-Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit (57-1001)
adds 11.46 horsepower at 6030 RPM.
K&N's FIPK (57-1001)
is designed for the 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002 BMWXI 3.0L L6, the 2005, 2004, 2003,
2002, 2001 BMW 330I 3.0L L6 and the 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001 BMW 330CI 3.0L
L6.
"We built a new tube, heat shield and filter
(RC-4630)
and used the factory fresh air intake and incorporated it with our heat shield,"
said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert Heck. "The horsepower is very good with
this FIPK." With the addition of the 57-Series FIPK Air Intake the BMW's engine inhales a
larger volume of air.
K&N's FIPK (57-1001)
can be installed in 90 minutes or less with simple hand tools and last up to
100,000 miles before service is required (depending on driving conditions). Best
of all FIPK's come with K&N's famous Million-Mile Limited Warranty.

The 2003 and 2004 GMC Envoy 5.3L V8 and the 2003 and 2004 Chevrolet
Trailblazer 5.3L V8 share a basic GM design.
Fuel Injection Performance Kit for the GMC Envoy and Chevy Trailblazer
K&N Engineering developed a 57-Series Fuel Injection
Performance Kit (57-3048)
that will add 19 + horsepower. K&N's dynamometer chart shows a 19.25 horsepower
gain at 5133 RPM on the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer 5.3L.
"We had to design a tube that fit within a mid-size vehicle with a big engine,"
said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert Heck. "We managed to take the intake tube,
keep the correct size along with power."
By replacing your factory air intake assembly with K&N's 57-Series FIPK, your
engine will get more air with less restriction. More air means more usable power
and acceleration throughout the engines RPM range. Most of K&N's intake kits are
relatively easy to install using common tools.
The FIPK uses K&N's high-flow, washable and reusable air filter (RF-1032)
which performs up to 100,000 miles before service is required (depending on
driving conditions). FIPK's also come with the famous Million Mile Limited
Warranty.
