debris in the nation's landfills. The Environmental Protection Agency recommends
using reusable air filters as an effective way to reduce waste.

Jonathan Allard had back to back podium finishes at two different race tracks in
a brand new sprint car. The team did not have time to decal or paint the car
before the race, but it didn’t matter in the end.

At Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California the No.0 K&N Filters car
worked to perfection as Allard drove to an impressive first place victory. It
was win number three of the season for Williams Motorsports.

The Williams Motorsports K&N No.0 was as fast as it’s been all year and the win
came for Allard at the right time. The defending King of California is in a big
fight for the Golden State Challenge Series Championship title.
Fresh off the Chico win Allard went to the Pombo/Sergeant Classic at Tulare and
kept the momentum going. Allard began the night by qualifying sixth on the K&N
Filters No.0.
By the main event the track was difficult because turns three and four had become
one lane.
Around lap nine Allard cut across the groove to slide under Jason Statler on the back stretch. The racers were side by side as they competed on a very
icy track. Allard was able to inch ahead and make it to a third place podium
finish.
The K&N Engineering sponsored racer leads the Silver Dollar point standings by six. He is headed to Ocean
Speedway at Watsonville for Round 10 of the Golden State Challenge Series.

Defending World Speedway Champion Jason Crump qualified through the A final at
the Italian Grand Prix at Lonigo, Italy. The 31-year-old Australian was unable
to capitalize on the opportunity at the Italian Grand Prix and followed the
field home to finish in fourth place.

At Crump’s 45th grand final appearance the Queenslander looked slower than
usual from the starting gate and paid the price in points.

“It wasn’t my night,” said a disappointed Crump. “I had a couple of good rides
but I am not happy in my overall performance even though I made it through the A
final. We encountered a couple of technical issues, but I’m not here to make
excuses. Nicki Pedersen was the best man on the night and won convincingly. We
do have a long way to go and this is just the start. It’s all about consistency,
so provided I continue to make the A final at each round, I still have a
chance.”
The two-time World Speedway Champion uses K&N Engineering products. “K&N Filters
has been a long time supporter of mine,” said Crump. “Speedway is dirt track
racing so having the right filtration is paramount. The air filter is the most
important part of the engine for performance and reliability. It must stop
foreign objects from getting in and provide constant airflow for maximum engine
performance. K&N delivers every time.”
Round two of the 2007 Speedway Grand Prix World Championship moves to the
Wroclaw Stadium at Poland on May 12th.
“I won the Under 21 World Championship when I was 19-years-old in 1995 using K&N
Filters and I won the World Speedway Championship in 2004 and 2006 using K&N
products,” said Crump. “It is my plan to use K&N exclusively until the end of my
career.”

Jeff Arend is taking over the controls in the blue Checker, Schuck’s, Kragen
Funny Car to add a lot of power to Team Worsham. Arend earned a quarter-final
finish at the Summit Racing Equipment Southern Nationals in Commerce, Georgia.

Arend and his group ran well coming into the race. Since the season began,
he qualified at every race and held a spot in the top eight since the first stop
on the tour. Even though they had not won a round since the opening weekend, the
close losses were still losses. Arend wanted to reverse the trend at Atlanta
Dragway.

Team Worsham has two strong contenders
“We’ve been running well, and I think we’ve been running well enough to win, but
we have been getting bit by the photo-finish bug a bit lately,” said Arend.
“There are so many great teams, but there’s never a chance to squeak one out or
take a breather. It seems like, every time you turn around you’re racing one of
the best teams in the world. Coming here, I know we all wanted to make it clear
that we think we can run with all of these teams and no one should be surprised
to see us up here in points or someday soon in the Winner’s Circle.”
When the blue CSK Impala made its debut Friday in Atlanta, Arend was 3rd on the
qualifying list and had reset both of his career-best marks. Worsham Racing uses
K&N Engineering products on both of their CSK Funny Cars. “The thick canister
walls on the K&N Oil Filters have extra strength and durability,” said Team
Manager Bob Wilber. “It reduces the risk of damage from debris in our engines.”
On Saturday, Arend earned a first round with Gary Densham. The race was decided
quickly and Arend was moving on.
“Del Worsham won too, and that was a big win for our whole program,” said Arend
“We’re intent upon being in the mix when the playoff system starts in September
and have a lot of motivation with the thought of a possible all CSK semi final.”
In the second round, Arend joined Tony Pedregon and Gary Scelzi as second-round
losers. His teammate Del Worsham lost to Robert Hight. “For us, a statement was
made in the first round and in qualifying,” said Arend. “We still have so much
potential to show. I’m glad we’re racing next weekend because I can’t wait.”
Team Worsham will race at St. Louis the first weekend in May.

More than 35 years of research and development has made K&N the leader in air
filtration technology. K&N Air Filters are washable, reusable and are made of 4 to 6 layers
of cotton gauze sandwiched between two epoxy-coated aluminum wire screens. Our
cotton is treated with a specially formulated grade of oil. This causes
tackiness throughout the cotton's microscopic strands.
