K&N Engineering has released a new lifetime replacement air filter (33-2340)
for the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Mercury Milan 3.0L V6, the 2006 Lincoln Zephyr 3.0L V6 and the 2006 to 2012 Ford Fusion 3.0L V6.
Air Filter for Mercury Milan, Lincoln Zephyr and Ford Focus
Lift the hoods of all the vehicles and the K&N Filters are custom designed to
fit in the factory air boxes. The drop-in design means adding performance is
simple; just remove the disposable air filter in the Milan, Zephyr or Ford and
replace it with a K&N.
The washable, reusable, high flow flat panel filter is designed to increase
horsepower and acceleration, while providing excellent filtration. The (33-2340)
is 1.125 inches in height (29mm) with an outside length of 8.313 inches (211mm)
and an outside width of 6.25 inches (159mm).
Unlike disposable filters, K&N Air Filters use a unique pleated design comprised
of an oiled cotton fabric sandwiched between two layers of epoxy-coated aluminum
screen. The filters capture airborne dirt particles while allowing high volume
air flow. These particles then cling to the outside of the filter and become
part of the filtering media.
The pleating on K&N Filters increases the surface
area, which then assists air flow and extends service intervals. Better dirt
retention, better airflow and extended service intervals are all benefits of
using a K&N filter.
Also, K&N's stock replacement air filters for street vehicles are covered by our
famous K&N Million-Mile Limited Warranty and will be the last air filter your
vehicle will ever need. K&N invented the concept of washable, reusable filters
more than 35 years ago.
The 2005 Ford Explorer V8 provides plenty of power for pulling trailers. The
long wheelbase and wide track on the Explorer make it a solid and stable ride
and the sixth best selling SUV in America in 2005.
Air Intake Kit Mercury Mountaineer and Ford Explorer
K&N Engineering helps 2004, 2005 Mercury Mountaineer 4.6L V8 and 2004, 2005 Ford
Explorer 4.6L V8 owners unleash extra V8 power. On K&N's dynamometer the
57-Series Generation II Fuel Injection Performance Kit (57-2564)
upped the horsepower at 10.4 at 4921 RPM.
The K&N 57-Series FIPK systems make power by eliminating the restrictive OE
airbox and intake tract. In place, K&N substitutes an aerodynamically designed
intake tube that maximizes airflow.
K&N 57-Series FIPK air intakes are engineered for bolt-on do-it-yourself installation.
In 90 minutes or less, the average enthusiast can remove the stock intake track
and add the 57-Series components. Kits include all brackets and mounting
hardware, stainless steel clamps and silicone hose adaptors.
K&N's FIPK (57-2564)
also comes with K&N's Air Filter (RF-1048)
which lasts up to 100,000 miles before service is required (depending on driving
conditions). It also comes with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
Ford's smallest car was revamped in 2005, for more power and new styling outside
and in. The 2005 Focus packs a little more power than the 2004.
Air Intake for the 2005 Ford Focus
K&N Engineering has designed a new Generation II 57-Series Fuel Injection
Performance Kit (57-2559)
that will add power to the 2005 Ford Focus 2.3L and 2005 Ford Focus 2.0L excluding the PZEV models.
Dyno-testing revealed that this K&N FIPK (57-2559)
added 11.85 horsepower at 5797 RPM. By replacing the restrictive factory airbox
your engine will get more air with less restriction. More air means more usable
power and acceleration throughout the engines RPM range. "We put the FIPK toward
the front of the car," said K&N Performance Kit Manger Bert Heck. "We had to
mold the tube and tune it to the vehicle for the power gain."
K&N began with one of its famous Extreme Top High-Flow Air Filters (RX-4990).
The Air Filter can be washed and re-oiled with a K&N cleaning kit.
The K&N filter attaches to an aerodynamically designed intake tube that's made
of polyethylene. "The tube was designed to keep the cool air on the intake
side," said Heck. "The power gain is really good considering the size of the
motor."
Installation is easily completed for the FIPK
(57-2559)
in 90 minutes or less with simple hand tools. No drilling is required, and the
57-Series air intake includes illustrated instructions as well as all the necessary
mounting hardware. It also comes with K&N's famous Million Mile Limited
Warranty.
In 2003 Mercury resuscitated the Marauder, which disappeared in 1970. Drawing on
its 60s heritage, the new version has a full set of retro satin-aluminum
analogue gauges to compliment a muscle car image.
Air Intake for 2003 and 2004 Mercury Marauder
K&N Engineering has developed a 57-Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit (57-2563)
that will add 17.32 horsepower. By replacing your factory air intake assembly
with K&N's 57 Series FIPK for the 2003, 2004 Mercury Marauder 4.6L V6 your
engine gets more air with less restriction.
"This is a performance vehicle," said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert Heck. "We
added a lot of power to this muscle car with our (57-2563)
FIPK."
The 57-Series Intake Kit consists of high-flow K&N Air Filter (RF-1041)
that can go up to 100,000 miles between cleanings depending on driving
conditions.
Covered by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty, the 57-Series Intake
Kit is easy to install using simple hand tools in 90 minutes or less.
GTO, some consider it the most revered three letters among the Pontiac faithful.
More than 40 years ago, the original Pontiac GTO launched the muscle car. The
Pontiac GTO legend continues and is enhanced by the 2004 model. It is not an exercise in
nostalgia, but an update on the first muscle car concept and packs quite a
punch.
Air Intake Kit for 2004 Pontiac GTO
For a bigger punch K&N Engineering has a Generation II 57-Series Fuel Injection
Performance Kit (57-3044)
for the 2004 Pontiac GTO 5.7L V8. K&N tests have shown an 18.54 horsepower gain
at 5818 RPM with this intake.
By replacing the Pontiac GTO's factory air intake assembly with K&N's 57-Series
Fuel Injection Performance Kit the engine gets cool, dense air with less
restriction. The K&N FIPK air intake uses K&N's high-flow, washable and reusable air filter (RF-1048)
which performs up to 100,000 miles before service is required (depending on
driving conditions).
"This was tricky because the engine compartment is not that big on the GTO,"
said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert Heck. "Our engineers built it and it has
great power."
K&N's FIPK (57-3044)
can be installed in 90 minutes or less with simple hand tolls and lasts up to
100,000 miles before service is required (depending on driving conditions). It
also comes with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
